The wines

Montecarrubo produces a limited range of fine Sicilian wines, shaped by individual vineyards, contrasting soils and a restrained approach in the cellar.

Our wines

At the heart of Montecarrubo are Vigna Grande and Vignolo, two single-vineyard Syrah wines from south-eastern Sicily.

Planted in 2010 from massal selections originating in Hermitage, the two vineyards grow on contrasting volcanic and marine soils, producing distinctly different expressions of the same grape. Each is harvested and vinified separately to preserve the identity of the vineyard.

Alongside Syrah, Montecarrubo produces Grillo and a limited selection of estate wines, all from organically farmed grapes and fermented with indigenous yeasts.

The collection is defined by freshness, precision and a clear expression of vineyard, vintage and place.

A family identity, reflected in every label

The blue and white used across our labels are part of the Vinding family colours, while the yellow found on some of our white wines takes its inspiration from the colour of the wine itself.
