Different soils, different sites and different grape varieties are treated individually, allowing each wine to retain a clear sense of origin.
Our wines
At the heart of Montecarrubo are Vigna Grande and Vignolo, two vineyards with distinct soils and identities.
The grapes from each site are harvested and vinified separately every year, preserving the individual character of each vineyard and allowing their differences to emerge naturally in the wines.
Both were planted in 2010 with massal selections of Syrah originating in Hermitage, yet their contrasting soils give rise to markedly different expressions.
The result is a collection defined by clarity, freshness and a precise sense of origin.
